RUSSIAN ROCKETRY

Slit,—In his review entitled 'Russian Rocketry' (March 27) Mr. Gerald Leach says that 'two years ago we had a spate of books on rocketry (all Ameri- can).' I think it only fair to say that a little less than twq years ago the State Publishing House of Moscow put out Sputnik Into Space, written by Mr. M. Vassiliev, under the supervision of Professor V. V. Dobronravov, the eminent physicist. Despite omission of factual details and a certain vague simplicity this was a book of some importance and was eventually published here by the Souvenir Press.—Yours faith- fully, E. P. RA',
