On the 30th ult., at St. Margaret's Church, Horsmonden, Kent, by the father of the bride, the Rev. Pierce Butler, rector of Illcombe, Kent, son of the late Hon. General Butler, and nephew of the third Earl of Carrick, to Catherine Twisden, second daughter of the Rev. Wm. M. Smith Marriott, rector of Horsmonden, grand- daughter of the late Sir J. Wyldbore Smith, Bart., of Sydling, and the Down House, Dorset, and of Thomas Law Hodges, Esq., late of Hemsted, Kent.

On the 7th inst., at Loadenham, by the Rev. C. B. Otley, rector of Welby, William Dashwood Fane, Esq., to Susan Millicent, elder daughter of General and Lady Susan Reeve.

On the 29th nit., Richard Plantagenet, second Duke of Buciringham and Chan dos, K.G.

On the 2nd inst, at Traquair House, Peeblesshire, the Right Hon. the Earl of Traquair, in the 81st year of his age.

On the 3rd inst, at Penair, Cornwall, Admiral Sir Barrington Reynolds, G.C.B., aged 76. On the 4th inst., at Ospringe House, Faversham, in the 81st year of her age, Mary, relict of the late General Sir Thos. Gage Montresor, K.C./1 , &c. On the 4th hurt, at his residence, in Cadogan-place, Vice-Admiral Sir Thomas Herbert, K.C.B , aged 68. On the 4th inst., at No.?, India-street, Edinburgh, Mrs. Margaret Caroline Linde- say, relict of Patrick Orr, Esq., WS., and laid surviving 'later of the late Major- General Sir Henry Lindesay Bethune, Bart, of Kliconquhar.
