- " It is a golden rule of life, Sambhu,

not to depend on another for your daily needs "—in such simple words Mr. K. S. Venkataramani tells an Indian boy of twelve how he should worship the dawn, the river ; how he should wash, breakfast, go to school, work in his garden, sleep. "Resist your mother, who, out of maternal love, will surely over-feed you. Eat most moderately, and eat only a few simple and homely things, just those which you are able to raise by your own toil in your own gardens and fields." Truly this Day With Sambhu belongs to another country and culture, but in it we may see much of the beautiful mind of India. (Svetaranya Ashrarna, Mylapore, Madras, Annas 8.)
