POSTSCRIPT TO THE WEEK'S NEWS.

The Cholera report of Thursday is not so favourable as those pre- viously received : there are 19 new cases, 7 deaths, and 1 recovery. The disease is said to have reached Houghton-le-Spring ; and three or four deaths are said to have been the consequence. 'We must have more evidence, however, before we decide on these cases, recollecting as we do the Newcastle case, so hurriedly announced and abandoned.
