The first sitting of the open Court of the Commissioners

of Customs was held yesterday, at the Customhouse ; Sir Thomas Fremantle presiding. The Court will sit on Tuesdays and Fridays, and it will investigate complaints and disputes between merchants and others and Customhouse-officers. An inquiry can be had by transmitting a letter to the Commissioners or their secretary, containing the substance of the complaint and applying for an inquiry. Similar courts will be held at the outports.
