NONSENSICAL NOISES

Sot,—Thanks to " Janus " for his timely protest against the "jangling noises" of the B.B.C. All my acquaintances agree that the incidental " music " makes it painful to listen to, and often impossible to hear, nearly all the dramatic productions ; and quasi-documentary broadcasts are often similarly decorated and obstructed. The whole art of music seems to be vulgarised by introduction in season and out of season.—
