Several of the accustomed singers are promised, and some new ones : Fornasari and Madame Persiani appear on the opening- night ; Mademoiselle Favanti, an English lady who has taken an Italian name, is to follow ; two new singers, Signor Corelli, a tenor, and Signor Felice, a bass, are added to the list ; Grisi, Mario, and Lablache come after Easter. Among the new operas to be produced are La Fantasma, by Persiani ; Corado d' Altamura, by Ricci ; and one, as yet unperformed, by Costa—Don Curios. Joan of Arc is the subject of a ballet for Fanny Ellsler ; and all the reigning dancers will appear, perhaps even Taglioni.
