SIR,—In connection with your article in the Spectator of January 6th on the present Exhibition at Burlington House, it is interesting to note that the two pictures of Whitby by Alfred William Hunt, now hung in a place of honour, were rejected at the Academy of 1876, and exhibited the same season at the Fine Art Society's, where they attracted a good deal of attention.—I am, Sir, &c., P.
