In the series of "The King's Novels" (Alexander Moving), under

the editorship of Professor Gollancz, we have Peg Tiro/ling- ton, by Charles Reade (1s. 6d.) How these new editions remind us of the lapse of time! It seems but the other day that Peg Woffington was published, and now it is out of copyright. It makes one think that the forty-two years might be extended with advantage.—Another new edition is Fairy Tales, by George Macdonald, Edited by Greville Macdonald, with Illustrations by Arthur Hughes (A. C. Fifield, 4s. 6d. net).
