AN APPEAL FOR CLOTHING MATERIALS. (To THE EDITOR or TEC

" SPECTATOR.") SIR,—From the commencement of the war a small village working party has been held hero for making clothing for Belgian refugee women and children. These have mostly been made from old evening wraps, remnants, and in fact any old pieces given by ladies interested in the work. We arc now nearly at a standstill for want of material. Can any of year readers spare us a few scraps? The garments when made are sent to the Belgian Relief Fund and are forwarded to Belgium. I will gratefully receive and acknowledge all parcels sent.—I am, Sir, &a.,

The Yews, Cavendish, Suffolk.
