Czech exchange.

Sir: Travel restrictions may have been lifted in Czechoslovakia but a visit to Britain is still out of the reach of most young Czechs, who are unable to raise enough foreign currency necessary to fi- nance more than a stay of a few days in Western Europe.

To help at least some of the hundreds of Czech students who want to visit Britain to do so, an Anglo-Czech studgit exchange scheme has been established. Ls purpose is to act as a go-between for British students and their counterparts in Czechoslovakia, thereby enabling them to make contact with each other and arrange a private exchange.

The student here would invite a Czech student with a good grasp of English to spend a minimum of two weeks in Britain as their guest, and would be responsible for providing him with accommodation and food. The Czech, for his (or her) part, would reciprocate with an invitation to stay in Czechoslovakia, similarly, for a mini- mum of two weeks with accommodation and food provided. The cost of travel to

the host's country would be met by the guest.

If you are interested, please write to me with some information about yourself and your interests, and I will endeavour to put you in touch with a Czech with whom you can arrange an exchange.
