The draught of the address in answer to the King's

speech, laid before the French Chamber of Peers on Thursday, reciprocates in the most hearty manner the satisfaction expressed by his Majesty at the friendship existing between the Sovereigns of Great Britain and France; adding, "the circumstance faiours the continuation of the amicable and intimate relations of France and England." M. Guizot feted the Ambassador of Morocco in magnificent style on Wednesday. Part of the entertainment consisted of a concert, in which 150 performers took Parts Intelligence of a battle between the French forces and the cavalry of Abd-el- Kader has reached Paris by telegraphic despatch, dated Milianah, the 30th ultimo. The chief commanded in person, and a horse was shot under him. Victory is claimed by the French; but the accounts are so meagre and unsatisfactory as to beget a suspicion that the result presents nothing to boast of. Bon Maza, often reported dead, and lately said to be seeking the death of his rival Abd-el-Kader, was present fighting by his side.
