On the 16th October, at Labuan, John Radford, Esq., CE., Resident Director of the Eastern Archipelago Company's works in Labuan and Borneo ; in his 44th year. On the 18th, at Red River Settlement, James Bird, Esq., late Chief Factor of the Hon. Hudson's Bay Company; in his 835 year. On the 18th, at Bangkok, Siam, Charles Batten Hillier, H.B.M.'s Consul for Siam, late for many years Chief Magistrate of Hongkong; in his 36th year. On the llth December, at Chiavari, near Genoa, the Dowager Countess of Donoughmore.

On the 39th, Roger Curtis, Commander R.N., eldest son of Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis, Bart., C.B.; in his 44th year. Oa the 30th, at Spreyton, Devon, the Rev. Richard Holland, Rector of Hittisleigh, and fifty-five years Vicar of Spreyton ; in his 825 year. On the 30th, Joseph Longbottom, Esq. ; in his 90th year.
