Katie ; or, the Simple Heart. By D. Richmond, author

of "Annie Maitland," dm. (Bell and Daldy.)—A very pleasant novelette for children, written well and gracefully, and in a style which is simple and intelligible, without being obtrusively childish. Although the story deals merely with the most common-place events, it is really interesting ; and the moral which it inculcates is quite unexceptionable. Altogether, it would not be easy to select a more acceptable Christmas present for an intelligent little girl of twelve or thirteen years old.
