net.) The dust-cover announcement of Mr. Roberts's ghost stories !ontains the most startling passage in the book. "Mr. Ellis Roberts's work is that of an artist. In other words, he provides a genuine thrill." We should have said that there was much artistry in his writing, but he certainly gave us no thrills.
