SIR,--I was much moved and impressed by Peggy Jay's letter

describing how she sat for four (1.0.s at her daughter's bedside in hospital.

But it should be pointed out that twenty-one years ago I, then aged two and a half, was taken to hospital, like my sister, dangerously ill. But on that occasion Mrs. Jay was forced to leave her child in exclusively professional care.. Three weeks later I too 'returned home cheerful and unscathed..--Yours faithfully.
