Step-by-step

Diplomacy is many-faced, But Henry K, the US rep Created, as with each he paced, A new kind, christened 'Step-by-Step.'

His first step made on Vietnam, Were Paris talks with Madame Binnh, Which ended in a peaceful sham, Freezing the state the war was in.

The next step that he set about, Was scaling down the war in size, Taking the US forces out, For which he got the Nobel Prize.

The third step was the Vietcong Renewed assaults, and toppled Thieu.

The US fled; and now Saigon Ho Chi Minh is called in lieu.

Flushed with success, K then transferred His mission to the Middle East; And Step-by-Step' again was heard, Once that the fighting there had ceased.

"But who's to step?", cried out the Jews, "It's always us and never you.
