The Carnegie United Kingdom Trust is always ready to help

those who -are rendering priblic service in unusual ways. It- hag now- published -the-report-a-a joint -committee. 0f-the British Institute of Adult Education and the Tutors' Associa- tion; which has been inquiring into the problem of The Tutor in Adult Education. _ Classes for adults are. multiplying rapidly all over the country. They need good teachers of the right kind. They receive much . voluntary assistance, but many capable teachers cammt afford to give their services, and as yet the movement is cramped for lack of funds. The committee makes many practical suggestions, but the essence of-them is that an adequate supply of properly qualified tutors must be assured-and that means more money and more help from Universitie and education authorities.
