10 OCTOBER 1863, Page 2

The German Diet resolved in its sitting of the 1st

of October that the Government of Denmark had not fulfilled its federal obligations in Holstein-Lauenburg, that federal execution must be enforced, and that Austria, Prussia, Saxony, and Hanover must carry on the execution. Saxony and Hanover are, moreover, to carry on the civil administration vies the King-Duke, whose rights are provisionally suspended. The task has been undertaken by the few Powers interested, aad the execution, which the Kings of Denmark and Sweden have both declared a casus belli, will, it is greatly feared, be carried out.
