Last night's Gazette notifies a few miscellaneous appointments. The Queen

has appointed the Reverend John Clark to the church of the united parishes of Daviot and Dunlichity, in Inverness-shire, vacant by the resignation of the Reverend Simon Mackintosh ; who is ap- pointed to the church and parish of Inverness, vacant by the death of the Reverend Robert Macpherson, third minister there. Mr. Erskine Douglas Sandford is appointed Sheriff-Depute and Steward-Depute of Kirkcudbright ; and Mr. Robert Whigham Sheriff-Depute of Perth. Mr. George White is to be Secretary and Clerk of the Council and Remembrancer of the Court of Exchequer in the island of Barbados.
