GAS-POISONING.

[To THE EDITOR OF THE "SPECTATOR.") Snt,—My small niece, on hearing that a great subaltern friend of hers was suffering from "gas-poisoning," added the following petition to her prayers that night : "Dear God, please let the gas out of —." It occurs to me that many of us might with advantage adopt the same form of words in our daily devotions when remembering our Parliamentary representatives, as of course we should do.—I am, Sir, &o., H.
