Cassell's Family Magazine continues to advance with the times, as

the comic sketch of "A Highly Respectable Family," and Mr, Alfred F. Robbins's paper on the reporting of M.P.'s, with illustrations by Mr. F. Carruthers Gould, amply demonstrates. The stories are, we confess, superior to the miscellaneous articles, whieli are, indeed, very slight ; although, perhaps, this fact is only another proof that the conductors of this magazine know how to cater for the public. Among these short stories, "A Faulty Heroine" stands out conspicuous in virtue of the chief character in it, who is guilty of what can only be considered literary swindling, and yet is worthy of love after all.
