THE GAS CHAMBER

Sta,—Janus states that no country seems to have experimented with the gas-chamber as a method of execution except at Belsen. I would refer him to a book called Sing Sing Doctor for the information that the American state of Nevada uses it, and I am further indebted to the magazine Lilliput for the information that three other states, one of which is Wyoming, have followed suit. The lethal chamber is apparently built for two persons, each of whom is fastened down in a chair.—Yours, &c.,
