An agreement "under seal" was interchanged yesterday between the Great

Western and the Shrewsbuq and Birmin. gham and Shrewsbury and Chester Railway Companies, for the interchange of traffic between London, Birming- ham, and Liverpool, and intermediate places ; and the offer has been renewed by the Shrewsbury Companies of leaving to arbitration their existing differ-

ences with the London and North-western Company, as to the local traffic between Wolverhampton and Liverpool.

Much interest was excited in the Stock Exchange today, by the exhibition of a piece of virgin gold from California: weighs 18 pounds 3 ounces, and is worth ahont 9001.
