A book is coming home from India which ought to

be of rare interest. It is a collection of reports by the leading Indian officers as to native opinion on the comparative merits of Native and British Governments in India. It is said to be very frank, and if it contains the opinions of the great native politicians, of the men who bear rule in Native States, it will be almost invaluable to the Indian politician. We trust Sir Stafford Northcote will see that it is given to the public early, and if possible unedited.
