JOINT NURSING AND V.A.D. SERVICES COMMITTEE OF THE UNITED SERVICES

Snr,—Your readers may be interested to hear that a sum of money has been granted by the United Services Fund for the benefit of ex-Service nurses of the Q.A.R.N.N.S., Q.A.R.N.N.S.R., Q.A.I.M.N.S., Q.A.I.M.N.S.R., T.F.N.S. Joint War Committee, &c., and V.A.D. members who have suffered disability as a result of their war service. A committee has accordingly been formed for the purposes of administration under the title of the Compassionate Sub-Committee of the Joint Nursing and V.A.D. Services Committee, the chairman being Sir Napier Burnett, K.B.E., M.D. The committee has only a very limited amount at its disposal annually, and it will therefore be quite impossible to grant loans or money in aid of training, starting businesses, or similar projects. Applications for assistance should be made in writing and addressed to the Secretary, Compassionate Sub-Committee, J.N. and V.A.D. Services Committee, 19 Berkeley Street, W. 1.—I am, Sir, &c.,
