Men of Skye

My sympathies on the whole are with the men of Skye who succeeded for one day in ousting the American skymen from the lead story in The Times. True, I have never put foot on Skye, though I have sailed round it and flown over it a score of times. True, as is well known, all the bad Macleods come from Skye and all the good Macleods from the Outer Hebrides. True, unless one knows the Isles the differences between the Churches involved seem confusing. But pre- sumably the tourists go to see the real Skye, and the real Skye with the other islands of the Hebrides is a citadel of the observance of the Lord's Day. It may be that this seems old- fashioned to most of us, but it may be we who are wrong.
