THE ESTIMATE that the Beaverbrook Press has of the length

of our memories is not flattering. The Sunday Express this week sympathised impressively with 'the unfortunates who panicked and sold on a falling market' because of false cries of 'Woe' from the socialists following the announcement of Mr. Butler's measures. The City Editor of the Daily Express advised in- vestors the day after Mr. Butler's announcement to 'get out and stay out of the market' and was therefore responsible in part for the plight of those same deluded 'unfortunates. . .
