AN APOLOGY

[To the Editor of Tim SPECTATOR.] SIR,—I wish to ask Mr. Robert Bernays, M.P., to accept my wholehearted apology for the offensive words of my letter to The Spectator of May 4th, headed " Fascism and M.. Answer."

I withdraw the libellous expressions I used in the heat of the moment, and I shall be glad if you will publish this with- drawal, with my sincere regret.—I am, Sir, &c., W. E. R. MARTIN.
