on Monday that work on the new Cunarder was to be resumed before Christmas have been denied both by the Prime Minister and by the Cunard Company. Yet some decision must be taken one way or the other-before long. On both economic and social, grounds there is at least as good reason why the Government should find financial fiicilities. for the completion of the vessel as it should for ordinary export transactions.
