I gave with all reserve last week some statistics of

the Roman Catholic Church and the Anglican Church in Great Britain. One figure was quoted in a Times article from the Catholic Directory, the other taken from a well-known reference book. It is suggested that, in fact, the Catholic figures are too high and the Anglican too low. That may well be so. It is pretty certain, I think, that they are not strictly comparable. •
