SIR,—! like Strix. It's delightful to have him back as a regular contributor to the Spectator. Wouldn't be surprised if even Alan Brien liked him, too.

STANLEY FROUD 817 West End Avenue, New York 25 PS.—It might cause surprise to Strix to learn that we've picked over 25 lb. of blackberries this summer in Manhattan and made jam of them. Also, my wife came across a pheasant sitting on her eggs under- neath a blackberry bush (still on Manhattan).
