his business to bring the resolution before his colleagues at the next oppor- tunity. In our opinion, if the Government are well advised, they will announce their intention of getting rid of the present anomalies in the last Session of this Parliament—i.e., the Session after next—and of getting rid of them by a scheme which will act automatically after every Census, and so put an end to the need for any further happy-go-lucky fiddling with the question. Now that the Irish alliance is less prized than formerly by the Liberals, we shall probably not hear so much about the wickedness and treachery of abolishing such absurd Boroughs as Newry, Kilkenny, and Galway.
