A TERRITORIAL BRIGADE OF GUARDS.

SIR,—For some years I have felt that the formation of a "Territorial " Brigade of Guards would be a graceful way of recognizing the good work done by our citizen soldiers in the past, and this feeling has been strengthened on reading about their performances at the front. Such a Brigade would naturally be connected with the chief city of the Empire and the four nations should be represented. This suggests the following selection: Honourable Artillery Company (on account of its antiquity); London Scottish ; London Welsh ; London Irish. A battalion from each of these would surely make a body of men of which London would he proud.—I am, Sir, &c., B.
