We understand it is the intention of the South Australian

Commis- sioners immediately to fit out a small vessel to proceed at once to the New Colony with the Surveying Staff, in order that the examination of the several harbours, and other measures preliminary to the deter- mination of the site of the first town, may be completed before the arrival of the first body of emigrants ; which will proceed in the Buf- falo, orders having been issued from the Admiralty to prepare this vessel for the purpose.
