is a lenient moralist. We were afraid that the somewhat selfish and flippant Edna would be severely punished. But she gets a better fate than she deserves ; while the amiable and unselfish Bessie fares still better. This is a pretty love-story, with nothing objectionable, but nothing note- worthy, about it.
