We have received VoLI. of the Hibbert Journal, edited by

L. P. Jacks, M.A., and G. Dawes Hicks, M.A. (Williams and Norgate, 12s. 6d. net). It is described as "a Quarterly Review of Religion, Theology, and Philosophy." We wish it all possible success. It is a supplement, we may explain, to the Hibbert Lectures, a propaganda of a liberal belief in matters theological. The diffi- culty of the Editorial Board, which includes some highly respected names, will be to draw the line short of novelty for novelty's sake, a thing which has its attractions for theologians as well as for other men.
