Ines—if one may judge from the final paragraph of his letter in your issue of December 5th—does not appear to know his Bible as well as he should. The advice to the " soldiers "—if that is what the unusual Greek phrase means— in Luke 3. 14, was given by St. John the Baptist, not by our Lord. It is unfortunate, for this seems to knock the bottom
