Despatches have been received at the East India House. They

in- clude some from Sir Robert Sale, to the 2d December ; when he was still at Jellalabad. On the 1st he made a sortie against the enemy by p whom he was blockaded, and completely routed him, driving him to a distance. The hostile commander was understood to have sent to Cabal for reinforcements.

The Times City article this morning quotes a letter dated on the 10th December, from the camp at Hadar, in Upper Scinde, by a military officer, who says, "Major Outram, the Political Agent here, has re- ceived a private account of the total destruction of Cabal on the 13th ultimo, with 20,000 rebels."
