Mr. Selman, we need scarcely tell our musical readers, is a pianist and composer of talent and reputation. The theme of this piece is in the style of the rapid, whirling Neapolitan dance, which has suggested musical ideas to Mendelssohn and other composers ; and it is treated and expanded by Mr. Seaman with much ingenuity and fancy. Played according to his direction, "presto a leggierissimo," it will be for id fall of animation and effect, as well as a capital exercise for the finges
