The Agricultural legislation of last Session is the subject of

two volumes,—The Agricultural Holdings' Act, by Henry Winch (Weldon and Co.), and The Law of Compensation for Unerhausted Agricultural Improvements, by W. Willis Brind. (Butterworths.) The latter gives a complete account of local customs—and a singular variety they display ! —a part of the subject which is, of course, of the greatest importance. —The New Code, 1875, by Henry J. Gibbs and J. W. Edwards (Longmans), contains an introductory sketch of educational legislation since the year 1839.
