The Germans appealed, anxiously for help, and' offered much money to be rescued..., As. the ` Ring Stephen' had a crew of only nine, and no arms .whatever, Mr..W. -Martin; the master, considered that he-ought 'not to place his men at the mercy of the twenty- two Geinians.- He therefore steamed away to seek the help of some.pairolling ship of war.
