MR. DOOLEY SIR,—May I tell you with ,what delight I

became aware of the resurrection of Mr. Dooley in your issue of January 15; he spoke with the authentic voice which I recollect in the early years of the present century.

I should like to offer my congratulations and thanks to whomsoever it was who was responsible for his resuscitation.—Yours faithfully, s. C. DYKE Upper Green, Tettenhall, Wolverhampton, Stags

['Mr. Dooley' is grateful, but prefers to remain anonymous.—Editor, Spectator.]
