the current number of the Spectator, some of your older readers must have been reminded of their youth, perhaps with a sad shake of the head. As one of the few 'funny lines' in the play, Mr. Brien refers to what was one of the cruder dirty jokes of forty or fifty years ago.—Yours faithfully,
