At the meeting of the Royal Geographical Society, on Monday,

among other papers, there will be read one of some interest taken in con- nexion with the report on the recent expedition to Montreal Island by the servants of the Hudson's Bay Company. It is Dr. E. K. Kane's report to the Secretary of the United States Navy, on his search for Sir Jan Franklin during the years 1852-'53-'54; accompanied by a chart showing the discoveries made during the course of that expedition : com- municated by the Admiralty.
