Sm,—" Of all the wonders that I yet have heard it seems to me most strange" that The Spectator should deem it possible for the North and South of Ireland to co-operate for England's benefit or their own safety. For better, for worse, the North will stand by England till the last shot is fired, but would sooner submit to Hitler than to de Valera.
