QUOODLE AND THE DERBY

SIR,—Little do you know that you are unpopular with me. . . ! I don't mind being called a simple soul, but I resent being called an old woman, back- ing horses in the name association way. . . . I did just that on the Derby in 1944, ar. J won on Ocean Swell, and I was then twenty-six . . . and 1 don't call that old. And I won over £8! Admittedly the system has not worked for me on any other occasion, but this is immaterial . . . but, as I say I don't like twenty-six being OLD . . . my goat has been got!
