SCOTLAND.

At a meeting held in Edinburgh on Monday,—the Duke of Bucclench in the chair,—it was resolved to erect a marble statue to the memory of the late Right Honourable David Boyle, to be placed in the outer hall of the Parliament House. A committee was named to give effect to this resolution.

The Town-Council of Aberdeen has resolved to confer the freedom of the city on the Earl of Carlisle when he appears there to be installed as Lord Rector.
