Songs from Fairyland and other Poems. (Whittaker and Co.) — Soma few

of these poems are reprinted from Household Words and All the Year Round ; others from a volume published by the author in 1860. Fire or vigour must not be looked for in them ; but pious, gentle senti- ments, or pleasing fancies about flowers and fairies, are expressed in pure, unaffected English, and with real taste and feeling. The versifi, cation is always good.
