This magazine reports very thoroughly the progress and set-backs of

Christian missionaries in foreign lands. There are no articles which do not in some way bear on the subject of missions, but much incidental knowledge of native customs may be gathered from them. We were especially interested in the account of William Wade Harris, the Gold Coait native " prophet," and in the Rev. D. Willard Lyon's discussion of the doubts and atheisms to which missionaries are more than others liable.
